OLGA KOCH
Edinburgh Preview: Homecoming
If you haven’t heard of Olga Koch yet, you will do soon. Daughter to a politician father who was briefly Deputy Prime Minister under Boris Yeltsin, Russian-born Olga Koch moved to the UK with her family at 13. She studied at university in New York, where she later trained at the UCB and honed her love of improv, before returning to the UK and hitting her stand-up stride. Her debut Fringe hour, Fight, won a Best Newcomer nomination, and she has toured the follow-up, If/Then, around the UK this year. Her recent TV and radio credits include Mock the Week (BBC Two), Pls Like (BBC Three) and The Now Show (Radio 4), with an upcoming appearance on Comedy Central’s The Stand Up Show. Olga joins us at Larmer Tree with a preview of her brand new show, tackling her identity as an immigrant, a drama queen and the biggest Vampire Weekend fan the world has ever seen.
