Switching up a successful career in investment banking for an entirely new adventure into the world of stand-up might seem like a dubious gear shift, but for Sindhu Vee, it has paid off spectacularly. From the springboard of the BBC New Comedy Award and New Act Of The Year competition finals, Sindhu made waves at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe with a sell-out run of her debut hour, Sandhog, which was duly nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. She has toured extensively in and beyond the UK, as well as performing around the world, including India and South Africa. Alongside her radio profile, increased through regular guest slots as well as her own four-part Radio 4 series, Sindhustan, Sindhu is already a familiar TV name; she has appeared twice on the prestigious Live At The Apollo (BBC Two), and multiple other shows from Mock The Week (BBC Two) and Have I Got News For You (BBC Two) to The Tez O’Clock Show (Channel 4), which she co-hosted with Tez Ilyas.

“Captivated the audience from the start – funny, bang on and delivered with genuine warmth.” Fringe Biscuit
