SARA BARRON

American comic writer and essayist turned stand-up, the acid-tongued and hilarious Sara Barron is both magnificent to read and exhilarating to watch. She had flirted with stand-up in her early 20s, but it was as host of the celebrated New York-based storytelling podcast The Moth that she first gained a worthy reputation for owning the stage. Following her move to the UK in 2012, Sara’s renewed focus on stand-up saw her really flourish. She has appeared on The Guilty Feminist podcast, Dave Gorman’s Modern Life is Goodish (Dave) and BBC R4 Extra. In 2018 her first solo Edinburgh Fringe hour, For Worse, earned her a newcomer nomination, and her follow-up, Enemies Closer, was one of the best-reviewed shows of last year.
