PHIL ELLIS

The magnificent, joyful and wilfully shambolic sleeper hit Funz and Gamez in 2014 saw Phil Ellis and his ensemble win the Edinburgh Comedy Awards panel prize alongside legions of fans, and rocket straight into Fringe folklore. The inimitable show, which has since been reprised at multiple festivals and enjoyed a Soho theatre run, cemented Phil as a singular physical performer capable of winning over audiences of all ages. He further developed his personal brand of hilarious chaos in a series of solo shows in the intervening years, most recently in 2019’s Au Revoir, which received widespread critical acclaim. As seen on Roast Battle (Sky One), The Russell Howard Hour, and Drunk History (Dave); a second series of Phil’s self-penned radio sitcom, Phil Ellis is Trying (Radio 4) was produced and aired last year.
