Jack Savoretti is thankful, “This is the first time I’ve made an album with a clear understanding of what I want it to sound like”. Recorded underneath a church at Ennio Morricone’s studio in Rome, Singing to Strangers marks Savoretti’s sixth studio release, and features eclectic co-writes from Bob Dylan and Kylie Minogue, among others.
It’s been a phenomenal few years for the poet turned singer-songwriter, which has seen him tour with John Legend as well as becoming a firm festival favourite across Europe. Singing to Strangers follows on from his last two gold records Written in Scars (2014) and Sleep No More (2016), the latter propelling him from “one to watch” to a bonafide British star. Blending his raw and soulful voice with trademark vividly honest lyrics, he has cemented himself as a must-see live act for 2019.
