VOTING NOW CLOSED – Larmer Tree Breakthrough Music Awards

From tonnes of incredible entries to this year’s Larmer Tree Breakthrough Music Awards, our team and the team at Salisbury Live managed to shortlist 12 semi-finalists. Over 3000 of you voted for your favourite acts who’ll battle it out at the Live Finals on Friday 20th April at The Winchester Gate, Salisbury. We’ll be announcing the 6 semi-finalists, voted for by you, next week! A big, huge thanks to each and every one of you for taking the time to vote.

Winners will perform at Larmer Tree Festival 2018 and they also enjoy a day in the recording studio with Naim Records.

The judging will be a live final in front of a panel of industry experts, including Larmer Tree Festival’s founding Director, James Shepard, the Festival’s Creative Director Sarah Dennehy and James Tailby from Naim Records.

Toy can still listen to the Soundcloud playlist featuring our semi-finalists.  It’s an amazing array of emerging musical talent, and who knows, after performing live at the Festival they could go on to big things!

The Awards have previously been won by a host of brilliant acts including The Drystones, who have recently been nominated for the 2018 Radio 2 Young Folk Awards, and The Villanovas, who have since toured across the US and Canada as well as taking the stage at numerous international festivals.

There are twelve semi-finalists this year, and following the results of the public vote, six will go through to compete in the Live Finals at The Winchester Gate, Salisbury on the 20th April*.

Two winning acts will then go on to play Larmer Tree Festival 2018, on the same line-up as First Aid Kit, Public Service Broadcasting, Jake Bugg and many more!

We’ll be announcing the six semi-finalists next week, as well as our third wave of line-up artists, so keep you eyes peeled for more announcements.
