Are you an unsigned artist? How do you fancy sharing the Larmer Tree Festival stage with the likes of First Aid Kit, Jake Bugg and Public Service Broadcasting? You’re in luck, because today we’re super excited to announce that the Larmer Tree Breakthrough Music Awards are back!
Here at Larmer Tree Festival we’re really proud of our long history of supporting new music. The Breakthrough Music Awards give the chance for one band and one individual to take to the stage at one of the UK’s best-loved festivals, alongside international artists and in front of an audience of thousands of music-lovers.
The Awards have previously been won by a host of brilliant acts including The Drystones, who have recently been nominated for the 2018 Radio 2 Young Folk Awards, and The Villanovas, who have since toured across the US and Canada as well as taking the stage at numerous international festivals.
HOW TO ENTER
Think you’ve got what it takes? We welcome submissions from artists of all genres and backgrounds, as long as you’re unsigned and perform your own original material (no cover or tribute bands, sorry!) All you need to do is…
- Send one track of your choice in a message to the Larmer Tree Soundcloud here (click on the mail icon on the right hand side).
- Fill in the application form below to tell us more about you.
Selected entrants will then go to a 48 hour public vote on 5th April, which will be followed on 20th April by a live final in front of a panel of industry experts, including Larmer Tree Creative Director Sarah Dennehy and a representative from Naim Records. But be quick! Entries must be submitted no later than Saturday 31st March.
To enter, you and all other band members MUST be over 18 and available on the 20th April and during the Festival 19th – 22nd July.
GOOD LUCK to all the awesome artists entering, and keep your eyes peeled on 5th April so you don’t miss a chance to vote for your favourite.
