A welcome return for one of our 2014 headliners. With the 2013 BRITs Critics’ Choice Award and opening for Billy Joel in the States in January under his belt, Tom’s subsequently backed that up with an Ivor Novello award for Songwriter of the Year in 2014. He is signed to In the Name Of, an imprint of Columbia Records after being discovered by label head Lily Allen, who remarked that “his energy onstage reminded me of David Bowie”.

Three years after his debut, the singer is back.

His new album will be released on 10 June 2016 via Columbia Records and was produced by Jim Abbis – who has previously worked with the likes of Adele, Arctic Monkeys, and Kasabian.

Though the singer has been quiet, he has said that for this new album: “I wanted the songs to sound big and dramatic; big strings and melodies emphasising the songs further – rich in musicality and holding nothing back.” Odell explained that the album is, “a fictional story but the emotions and feelings are obviously ones I have felt – though the stories are elaborated and exaggerated. I wanted to create a world with a heightened sense of reality.”
