Quirky, natural Laura Lexx is one of the most effortless comedians making a splash on the UK comedy scene. She completed a successful run of her debut solo show, Lovely, at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2015 and is currently working on her new show, Tyrannosaurus Lexx.

Laura was nominated for Best Compere at the 2016 Chortle Awards. She was also shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Award in 2012 and 2014, and reached the finals of the Chortle Student Comedy Award in 2009, and Funny Women in 2010. Laura has gigged in Europe as well as the UK, including several festivals and as tour support for Russell Kane on his Posturing Delivery tour.

She studied Drama and Theatre and is an accomplished actress receiving outstanding praise for her role as Cecily in The Importance of Being Earnest during the Brighton Fringe in 2013. She is also a member of the critically-acclaimed Comedians’ Cinema Club improv troupe.  Laura has written several articles for Sarah Millican’s online women’s magazine Standard Issue, as well as populating her own very popular blog. So yes, multi-talented doesn’t really cover it, and she’ll be compering for us on Thursday night.

“One of the most delightful performers you’re ever likely to see.” GQ.
