Fully qualified rocket scientist Dr Simon Foster first became fascinated by space when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon, and he’s been stuck in orbit ever since. A solar physicist at Imperial College London, he has a PhD in Solar-terrestrial Physics and has taught physics and astronomy in schools. As well as speaking at festivals around the UK, Simon has presented TV and radio shows for the BBC, Sky and Channel 4, and a video column for the Telegraph. Be sure to come along for the ride as he brings rocket science down to earth in a talk that covers a constellation of questions like how can humans live in space? What is rocket fuel? And will we ever reach other stars and planets?
